Leadership in a Networked Age

Most of us hold onto our precious ideas as if in a closed fist, to make sure they stay ours. We want credit, thinking this will advance our aspirations. We want certainty and control. While this approach may make an idea our own, it doesn’t create what we really want: impact. The solutions to so many things — solutions that come by innovation and growth — are near at hand. But to get these prizes, we need to change our approach. We need to free our ideas: to be collaborative, inclusive and purposeful. Because the future is not created, the future is co-created.
